CUF members in the same area often join together so their efforts may bear more fruit. A chartered chapter is a local, organized structure for the work of the whole apostolate.
Whenever a group of members fulfills the established requirements, it may be given official recognition and charter as a CUF chapter. Chapter members work together to promote authentic spiritual and moral renewal in their own lives, in the lives of their families, and in the life of the wider community which comes under their influence. The chapter helps its members become knowledgeable about the doctrine and discipline of the Church, and directs their efforts in support of the international office.
