I'm Collin Westerlund — a musician based in Baltimore. I play a lot of instruments, and on my album Beautiful World I played and sang all of them: every part, every harmony, written, arranged, and produced myself.

The music I make leans old school — vocal harmony, clean lyrics, the kind of classic pop and soul craftsmanship that's just trying to make you feel good. For a few years I ran a small record label, Arkansas House Records, out of a house in Bentonville, Arkansas: half of it was the studio, and I wrote and produced for singers who didn't have a band, a catalog, or anything released yet.

I'm back home in Baltimore now, and the new place has a recording room in it. As a producer, I'd rather hand the spotlight to someone else — so if you're making something, let's talk.

A Chapter, Closed

The Arkansas House Years

In Bentonville, Arkansas, Collin founded Arkansas House Records — a label run out of the living-room studio of his own house, built for the little guy. He wrote the songs, produced the sessions, and gave local singers and players their first releases, aiming the sound at Motown, Gamble & Huff, and the classics in their heyday. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette profiled the project in 2023.

That chapter is closed — Collin no longer runs the label — but everything he learned producing other people's records came home to Baltimore with him.
